Arooga is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their growing team. You will be responsible for developing analytics reports to give insights into our games and allow us to better server our players. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and database design/SQL programming abilities. You should enjoy both analyzing large data sets and have good interpersonal skills to communicate your findings.

• Develop statistical measures to analyze player behaviours so we can better acquire, retain and entertain players.
• Develop & deploy improvements to Arooga’s and analytics systems in cooperation with our programmers.
• Develop reports and dashboards using data drawn from our game servers and other sources.
• Provide answers to ad-hoc queries & one-time report generation requests from team members.
• Work with the development and marketing teams in articulating and finding answers to key strategic questions.

• Excellent analytical skills & a working knowledge of statistics.
• Able to analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data and create meaningful insights and reports.
• Execution of research projects and case studies.
• Good interpersonal skills with a strong grasp of both technical and business worldviews.
• Comfortable in a highly collaborative, fast paced yet rewarding environment.

• A computer science, maths or similar degree.
• Database design and SQL skills.
• Experience working with MySQL or similar database systems.
• Experience with Tableau Software is a big positive.
• Experience in social games is a plus.
• An interest in human psychology & behaviour.
